I think that is what Emeril called it.
You can add anything you like to it, I have tried cheese and that is really good.
This is modified from the original, but fyi the "parts" used were "Tablespoons".
Hint: 4 Tbsp = 1/4 cup.
- 5 Parts Butter
- 4 Parts Flour
- 48 Parts Milk
Melt the butter. Add the flour and whisk until smooth.
Heat the milk until just about to boil, or be lazy and mix everything and then bring almost to a boil.
Season as desired.
