- 2 1/2 Cups Flour
- 1 tsp white sugar/1 Tbsp powdered
- 1 tsp salt (optional, see Lard)
- 1/2-1 Cup Shortening(lard)
- 1 Stick Butter(if using only 1/2 cup lard)
Mix dry ingredients, then cut in the fat. Add 1/3 cup plus 1 Tbsp ice cold water.
Cut in the water with a spatula until everything stays together.
Divide in half, press into round disk, wrap and refrigerate.
It's now ready to be rolled out and used.
